With Prof. Petko Radev before the beginning of the concert entitled “Petko Radev and Friends” – dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the unique performer and teacher of generation of musicians – Prof. Petko Radev, who is a founder and a teacher in the Summer Academy of Arts.
Prof. Petko Radev with his wife and companion in life and art – Elena Taskova – no less talented and unique violinist in La Scala.
Mr. Dimitar Madjarov – Director of PE “Summer Theatre, Festivals, and Concerts”, representative of Municipality of Burgas, awards Prof. Petko Radev with a plaque of honor for outstanding contributions to Bulgarian culture.
For the first time on the Bulgarian stage, the solo clarinetist of the Paris National Opera – Philippe Cuper, who is also a lecturer at the Sorbonne University, “Conservatorio Superior de Aragon” (Spain) and at other conservatories and universities, played at the concert.
The solo clarinetist of the London Symphony Orchestra and its director – Andrew Mariner – played for the first time in front of the audience of Burgas. He is a professor at the Royal Academy of Music and the Academy of Music in Rome. Guest performers were prof. Georgi Spassov – solo flutist of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, professor at the National Academy of Music “Pancho Vladigerov”, and the pianist Maria Prinz – lecturer at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna.
Participant in the concert was also a student of Prof. Petko Radev – Vangel Tangarov, who is a clarinet professor at the Texas State University in San Marcos. On the piano – Ekaterina Tangarova.
As a surprise for the audience and guests was the performance of Marian Bozhidarov – one of the youngest graduates of Prof. Petko Radev, currently a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music – London.
